Cochrane Furniture
In 1905 Cochrane Furniture had its beginning with John Cochrane seeing the need and potential of a wood products manufacturing plant which could produce showcases and mantels. Since the fireplace was an overwhelming necessity for homes built throughout the country, John Cochrane felt that every home should have a decorative and unusual mantel. The business was successful and mantels were sold by the carload. In 1928, the company
was incorporated as Cochrane Furniture Company Incorporated, the name it bears today.
In the early 1930’s the company, under the operation of John Cochrane’s four sons, produced oak and pine dining room tables and chairs as the company’s leading products. As sales increased, the company began adding to the line by producing china cabinets, servers and dry sinks to complete the dining room. Early American Furniture became popular and Cochrane began using hard maples as the primary lumber and the maple leaf was added to the logo.
In 1987 Cochrane Furniture saw a need for yet another addition to complete the home and began producing living room furniture. The addition paved the way for another successful offering in the line. Cochrane Upholstery now produces quality living room products with a myriad of styles including traditional, country, casual, transitional and contemporary.
Through the years Cochrane Furniture has met the needs and challenges of producing furniture to complete the home and now offers a much more diversified line. The quality products that Cochrane produces today include bedroom, dining and living room furniture using a variety of lumbers including maples and oaks and having an assortment of styles to choose

Corsicana Bedding
Corsicana Bedding Inc. (CBI) was established in December 1971. The original name was Tipton Manufacturing, Inc. The company was located in Corsicana to supply the great demand of furniture and bedding for the mobile home manufacturers in the area. The original plant was located on South Main in Corsicana, Texas. Corsicana manufacturers Bedding and Mattresses.
In 1974, the company moved into a new 24,000 square foot facility. As the economy changed, the company expanded to include production for the retail furniture and bedding stores. By the end of 1978, it was evident that manufacturing bedding, such as mattresses and box springs, for retail stores was more beneficial for the company. At this time the name was changed to Corsicana Bedding, Inc.
The company continued to grow until the mid 1980's. In 1987, CBI expanded its sales area from 150-mile radius to an area that includes Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and all of Texas. CBI owns a fleet of trucks to serve our regional market.
Currently, the plant is a 106,000 square foot, state of the art facility that houses computerized machinery, conveyors, and a bar code tracking system. The plant is capable of producing 3,000 pieces per day on two 10-hour shifts. Recognizing the significance transportation plays in limiting or shaping the avenues of growth, Corsicana began developing their own long haul trucking operation.
After two years of rapid growth, the plant moved into a 96,000 sq. ft. facility. This facility also has state of the art equipment and a fleet of trucks to deliver product to customers. This plant is capable of producing 2,500 pieces per day on two shifts. This plant services the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Missouri.
In 1999 CBI opened a distribution center in South Holland, IL to serve the greater Chicago area, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
In 2001 CBI opened a distribution center in Rancho Cucamonga, CA to serve southern California, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona.
In 2002 CBI opened its third manufacturing facility in Greensboro, NC. This plant will serve North and South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey.

Restonic Bedding
Restonic Mattress Corporation is first to receive UL Certification for Mattress Flammability - September 1, 2004
Rosemont, IL - Restonic Mattress Corporation announces today that they are the first national mattress manufacturer to receive certification from UL (Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.) for its Comfort Care and Sensora products in accordance with the California Bureau of Home Furnishings and Thermal Insulation’s Technical Bulletin (TB) 603.
“Restonic is proud to achieve UL certification,” said Kevin Toman, President and CEO of Restonic. “Everyone recognizes the integrity and the reputation of UL and for Restonic to have UL certify our products shows forward thinking and bedding industry leadership.”
Restonic has undergone extensive scientific testing and retesting to meet California’s TB603 and obtain UL qualification. As a result, the bedding manufacturer believes that they have developed the industry leading fire barrier system and now offer their customers the confidence of the UL label.
“Restonic has gone beyond what the law requires for compliance. The mattress purchase is confusing enough and now consumers don’t need to understand this complicated law, but only need to have confidence in the UL mark as a leader in the product safety arena,” said Toman.
In accordance with UL’s rigid standards, Restonic factories will receive multiple, unannounced visits each year from a UL representative to ensure that the products continue to meet the standards of the original tests that brought the manufacturer certification.
Additionally, Restonic’s suppliers of FR thread, FR barriers and FR comfort layers will receive the same visits from UL. Restonic will use only UL recognized components in its UL certified mattresses.
The UL certified Restonic product will be marked with the “Flame Fighter” label.
River Forks Furniture
Riverside Furniture
Home of majestic forests, ruggedly beautiful mountains, gurgling brooks and swiftly flowing rivers. It is also the home of Riverside Furniture Corporation. But like they would with any old friend, most folks refer to us just by our first name.
Riverside has been growing with America for more than half a century now. Our founder Herman Udouj opened the doors to his first factory in 1946, and along with 12 employees began making handcrafted furniture for the post World War II baby boom era.
Since then, Riverside has been a name three generations of Americans who have furnished their homes and offices with our wide range of furniture products have come to rely on.
Herman said it best more than 50 years ago. "We want the Riverside name to be trusted for quality products that are an affordable value. It's just that simple."

Wicker, although a classic, natural material with centuries of history, works well for the furniture buyer who wants a home reflecting the feel of casual elegance. The South Sea Wicker & Rattan Collection offers an extensive variety of both indoor, outdoor, and patio furniture and accessories in a variety of styles and design.
Most wicker and rattan furniture originates from Southeast Asia (Indonesia, the Philippines and China) and is manufactured by hand. After import the product is carefully inspected before assembly and finished in the United States. All material used in the assembly process are U.S. made. Our fabrics are from North & South Carolina mills and all cushions, covering and upholstery are both done here at our North Carolina facility.
Rattan is a vine that grows in the tropical forests of the Far East. Growing hundreds of feet in length, it is one of nature's strongest materials. It will not splinter or break and is ideal for making furniture. Once molded, solid rattan retains its contours permanently. Peel, is the outer skin of the rattan pole and traditionally is used to wrap joints. Wicker refers to products that are made from reed, cane, rush, willow or other natural materials. When wet, these materials are pliable enough to be woven. Wicker and Rattan are natural products with each piece having its own individual, unique qualities. When stained there will be slight differences in hue and color of the wicker furniture and this is part of the beauty of owning a product made from nature.

Vaughan Furniture
In 1923, two brothers, raised on a small farm in southwest Virginia, founded Vaughan Furniture Company. Taylor G. Vaughan, Sr. and his brother Bunyan C. Vaughan and members of their families and friends set out to begin a furniture manufacturing business that would survive the Great Depression to become the established Vaughan family legacy that endures today. The company was organized, financed and built to manufacture a line of dining room furniture to complement another company's line of bedroom furniture.
During the 1930's, Vaughan was selling complete bedroom suites for as little as $24.95. In 1954, the lowest priced bedroom suite sold for $69.95. The suite included a double dresser, chest-of-drawers, tilting Venetian plate glass mirror, bookcase headboard and panel footboard. Two higher priced suites were competitively priced for $79.95 and $89.95.
During the mid-1950's, when Taylor's son George was elected president, improvements were made in manufacturing and efficiency. By 1964, Vaughan orders had doubled and so had the manufacturing space. In the years that followed, through 1997, the company continued to grow and acquire manufacturing plants at a rate that may never be seen again.
John Vaughan, the company's fourth president, is currently Chairman of the Board. For John, style, quality, integrity and a strong partnership with dealers were the guiding principles of doing business. Now, the third generation of family management continues the traditions of the founders. Bill Vaughan was elected the company's fifth president in 1995. Taylor Vaughan is Senior Executive Vice President and David Vaughan is Senior Vice President-Merchandising and Imports.
Through rapid growth and expansion, the Vaughan family of skilled craftspeople have always been at the heart of the company. Vaughan Furniture Company remains committed to its fellow employees, its customers and to delivering a quality product at value pricing. In the spirit of enlivened volunteerism, Vaughan and its employees support America's Promise, a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and youth.
Vaughan employs a sales force of approximately 75 and maintains a distribution to more than 5,000 dealers, internationally. An approximate 26,000 square foot showroom in the International Home Furnishings Center in High point, North Carolina, serves as the primary display location for product, shown twice each year, at the Spring and Fall Furniture Markets. As a complete resource for bedroom, dining room and living room furniture, Vaughan looks to the future with revitalized optimism.
